About Ministry

Outreach ministry = Reach out ministry.

The aim of our outreach ministry is to be like the hands of Jesus Christ, reaching out to those in our church and the wider community and ministering to their needs. We share the love of God in a tangible way while nourishing the people spiritually through prayer and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

It is our desire to continue to serve and connect with our community and lead souls to the Kingdom of God.

Hospital Ministry

The aim of the hospital ministry is to follow the way of Jesus Christ - ministering and serving those who are ill and recovering from illnesses or medical treatment. We make visits to hospitals and homes offering prayer, support and encouragement to our members and their families.

Meet Our Leaders

President: Evangelist Barbara Lewis

Evangelist Barbara Lewis became a member of the assembly in February 1987 and has been an extremely active member since then. Evg. Lewis has served in various departments over the years such as the Sunday school department, the Usher Department, the Women’s Department and many more where she served faithfully. Today, Evg. Lewis is the president of the Outreach department, Coordinator and teacher of the Vocational School and also a member of the street evangelism team and calls herself Jesus’ helper. Through her leadership the outreach department reaches out to church members and family members of church members who may be shut-in, sick and needy or found in various institutions such as children homes, senior citizen homes and mental institutions. Outside of church Barbara is a professional caterer and cook, canteen manager, interior decorator and florist. Although she can hardly find time for herself, she enjoys meditating, reading and making crochet pieces. She lives by the verse Psalms 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Vice President: Usher Leanna Lennon

Usher Leanna Lennon has been a member of Bethel Born Again for a very long time and has served the Lord faithfully in every capacity she has been called to. Apart from being the President of the Usher Department, Sis. Lennon is the Vice President of the Outreach Department and also a Sunday school teacher. Usher Lennon loves the Lord and it is her aim and desire to continue to serve Him in spirit and in truth.

Vice President: Deacon Mortimer Webb

Deacon Mortimer Webb has been a member of the assembly since 1981. Apart from being the Vice President of the Outreach department Deacon Webb is a member of group love and also a part of the music team. Outside of church Mortimer is a Senior driver at the Jamaican Urban Transit Company (J.U.T.C) and a trained mechanic. Deacon Webb’s favourite Bible verse is Psalms 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
